Why Rabia & Mikayal Love Our Flexibility & Convenience:
How Kyla Went from Failing to Passing:

Our process

In a typical session, students share their screen over Zoom and work through their homework together with their tutor. By doing so, tutors are able to help students with specific types of problems and teach concepts they're currently covering in their class to help them ace their next exam.

What our Students are saying

Parent of Gabby, 11th grade Algebra
"The staff at Tutor U are responsive and quickly selected a tutor to meet our specific needs. Every session was focused and productive and my teen made measurable progress!"
Picture
Lily, Precalculus
"Because of the tutoring sessions I realized that math is much simpler than I initially thought. The results are astonishing. What was most surprising to me is that my tutor was close in age so before and after our session we were able to bond on things that 20 year olds have in common like math and school."

Picture
Max, College Algebra
"Not only is my tutor knowledgeable and helpful but he is also flexible with time in case something unexpectedly comes up. Overall if I did not have these tutoring lessons I would have 10X more stress with my math class and would have to take several extra hours to get the same amount of work done by myself."

Jake, College Algebra
"My tutor has been a HUGE help for me in my college algebra class! Really suggest working with Tutor U."

SAt & act tutoring

Every student can increase their SAT & ACT scores, making that dream school a reality.
How Zoe Achieved a 99th Percentile SAT Score:

Our process

① Diagnostic Exam
Students start with a diagnostic test so we can assess their strengths and weaknesses before starting test prep. We will identify their issues — maybe they need to brush up on algebra, or they're running out of time. This practice test will help us pinpoint the problem.
② Review Mistakes
Tutors focus on the weaknesses identified from the diagnostic exam and work together with their student through the wrong answers to hear their student's reasoning for each question and teach concepts and tricks.
③ Work Through Practice Exams Together
Tutors and their students work together through Khan Academy practice sections and discuss the reasoning for each problem. This way, the student verbalizes their logic then hears the tutors perspective to learns how to think and how to tackle real problems. This 3-step process is then repeated.
